$25,000 Donation for Frontier Elementary
Twin Rivers' Frontier Elementary School will update and increase technology for students with a $25,000 donation from Intel and Fry's Electronics.
Principal Ellen Giffin is ecstatic.
"We feel really honored to have been selected to receive such a substantial gift," says Giffin. "In my 10 years as Frontier's principal, we have never received such a large donation. We will use the money to update technology for our Lego Robotics after school program and to purchase new Chromebooks for our students."
The Natomas Fry's store selected Frontier to receive the donation after employees won a nationwide competition called Score with Intel Core. Store sales representatives were asked to expand their knowledge about Intel technology and the devices they sell. Winning stores then selected a local school to receive a donation from Intel on their behalf.
