Festival of the Arts ... Simply Marvelous!
Twin Rivers' unique commitment to arts education for all students was on full display March 30 at the Festival of the Arts.
More than 1,500 people attended the event, which shines a spotlight on the exciting work of the District's music, dance, and visual art and media students. Guests at the McClellan Conference Center enjoyed superb performances from 750 K-12 students. Approximately 1,500 pieces of artwork were on display.
"We are proud and honored to be able to celebrate our talented students and showcase all types of art forms," says Jackie White, Director of Arts and Career Education. "All of our students can participate in the arts before, during and after school. We strongly believe the study of and participation in the arts is a key factor in improving learning in all academic areas."
