Partnering for Student Success

The Vanir Foundation in Memory of H. Frank Dominguez awarded Noralto Elementary School a $24,901 grant for the 2015-16 school year. This is the third year that Noralto has been selected a partner school with the nonprofit organization.

This year's grant provides a math/science night for families, several academic field trips, and 60 Chromebooks (laptop computers) that are shared among several classrooms.

"These computers are used every single day, non-stop throughout the day," says Principal Brad Allen.

The addition of Chromebooks to Noralto's technology inventory means that students will have greater access to computers. Second grade students are provided 1:1 access for an hour every day and all kindergarten and first grade students have a minimum of 10 computers in their classrooms for daily access.
