PARAEDUCATOR PROFICIENCY EXAM

ADULT EDUCATION SCHOOL

The Paraeducator Exam will be offered every Thursday at 9 a.m. (check-in at 8:45 a.m.) at the Adult Education School. You will need to schedule an appointment in order to take the exam as there is limited space available.

This test covers the areas of English (including reading, writing and grammar), mathematics (no calculators allowed) and the Ability to Assist. A tutorial/study guide is available for review in the Adult Ed Office. The test consists of 100 multiple choice questions. An examinee must score a minimum of 75% in order to pass the test.
Typing tests are offered at Twin Rivers Adult School at 5703 Skvarla Ave., McClellan, CA 95652. Tests are by appointment only. What you must bring: Valid drivers license or other current government issued identification and a negative tuberculosis test (TB results can be within 4 years of application date).
Frequent volunteers must bring Volunteer Form signed by the principal from the school site, valid government issued identification and a negative tuberculosis test (TB results can be within 4 years of application date).
Fingerprinting is at no charge for volunteers.
